A sleep study (Polysomnography or PSG) is a comprehensive measuring of some body functions during sleep, usually performed overnight. The polysomnogram enables us to evaluate your sleep habits in order diagnose (and treat) or rule out Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). This is a non-evasive study that records each apnea and also tracks Oxygen levels, breathing patterns, heart rate and several other variables influaenced by OSA. Procedure: We suggest that you see a Ear, Nose and throat specialist (ENT) first to clinically evaluate your airway to determine the best treatment option. There are a few options like minor surgery or CPAP or a mouth piece. This will eliminate unnecessary tests. Mossel Bay: Dr. Jannie Snyman (044 690 6882) George: Dr. Zerbst (044 874 2266)
